The annual match between Liphook and the Society was held at Liphook on Wednesday 27th March with a win for Liphook by 5-3.
After our washout last year, we enjoyed a most wonderful day, with a closely matched contest, played as ever in the most congenial way, 16 a side Four Ball better Ball, with the match only being decided by the last pairs.
Many of the Old Woks had travelled some way to take part, Our President Tim Rowan Robinson from Aldeburgh, Dayrell McArthur from Bristol, Francis Elton from Dover and Michael Radmore joined us for a delicious lunch.
Other OWGS members to participate were John Sanders, Michael Wauchope, Nyren and Colin Scott Malden, Simon Chantrey, Cameron Reeves, David Parkinson, Anthony Gay, David Ham, Christopher Cornell, John Cruickshank, Michael Phillips, Michael Collett, whilst Andrew Brownrigg Captained the Home side against the Society.
The fixture is already in the diary for Wednesday 25th March 2020.
