2023 is the centenary of the OWGS and we hope that you will be able to join us during the year to celebrate the first one hundred years of the society.
To mark the occasion, David Bonsall (Hon. President) has written a book which will be available from March. We hope that as many OWs as possible will buy it and hopefully all members of the OWGS. The book will cost £40 with any profits going to subsidise costs for other events during the year
We have a number of events planned to celebrate through the year and hope that you will be able to participate.
Please contact the match manager to secure a place in any of the events

Centenary Prizes: David Bonsall has offered up several special prizes for the centenary. The players with the 3 best singles (gross stableford) scores at RSG and the Berkshire will have the opportunity to be the guests of David at Pine Valley and Merion in October (likely dates between 9 and 19th October 2023) – winners will meet their air fares, food and caddy fees but David will cover accommodation, ground transportation, green fees and wine!
In addition, Anthony Goodrich (OWGS Captain for the Centenary year) and David Bonsall will take 6 OWs to St Andrews in November (likely dates 14-17 November 2023) for golf on the Old, New and Jubilee Courses (as available) with access to the R&A Clubhouse, where the green fees and wine will be covered. The spots are earned by the 6 best singles (net stableford) scores at RSG and the Berkshire.
No-one can win more than one special prize!
